Having worked as a certified arborist for more than 30 years and serving as the director of operations for a large condominium community in Western Connecticut, I often faced significant difficulty attracting experienced tree climbers and professional arborists to join our staff. With responsibility for 1,000 acres of property and a staff of over 70 employees, my constant focus was on identifying ways to promote from within the organization.
Being very involved in the arboriculture industry and sharing my struggles with my colleagues of attracting qualified tree climbers to our staff, I decided to use ACRT Arborist Training to train one employee who showed interest in becoming a tree climber and a member of our in-house tree crew.
I decided to see how ACRT Arborist Training’s tree climbing training courses could benefit our team. So, we sent our employee to their training facility in Ohio for the 5-day Basic Arborist course.
Wow! That was all I could say when he returned. It was like the ACRT Arborist Training staff transformed this employee in five short days into a seasoned tree climber. The knowledge, techniques, and skill level that ACRT and its team of experienced professional trainers returned to us was invaluable
After that first employee, we sent several more employees through the years to ACRT for the basic arborist training course. ACRT never disappointed us. Each time they sent us back an amazing tree climber with the training, knowledge, and skills to handle the workload of a very busy tree crew. I would recommend ACRT to any company looking to train their employees in tree climbing. It truly is worth the effort and cost.

An overhand knot is a common, easy-to-tie knot that can be further strengthened into a slip knot with just a couple quick steps. By simply inserting one end of a rope back through the overhand knot, you can create a secure loop that can only be loosened one way.
