While some students prefer to use their own gear, it is not a requirement for the class. ACRT Arborist Training provides a couple of sets of climbing gear to be shared amongst the students in the class.
ACRT Arborist Training can provide climbing gear and PPE to be shared among the class. We ask that each student come prepared with clothing appropriate for indoor and outdoor work and solid work boots (no flip flops or tennis shoes, please).
You can enroll in any of our classes on our website: store.acrt.com, and payment is due at the time of enrollment.
Each class varies slightly. Be sure to check the class options here: store.acrt.com. Click the class you are interested in, and it will be listed under “Upon Successful completion of this class, individuals will receive:”
We will make every effort to transfer you to another class. If you are unable to make the class and cannot attend any of the other classes, please contact us immediately.
Anyone meeting the prerequisites can take our classes. You do not need to own or be part of a business to enroll.
While there is no age requirement for our classes, we do require all students to be over the age of 21 to handle a chainsaw in our class. Most classes have some chainsaw components. If you are under 21 and wish to take one of our classes, please contact us.
Classes generally start at 8 AM. After enrollment, you will receive a registration form that will indicate the class time and address.
Classes typically end around 4 PM–5 PM
Each student will be responsible for their meals, transportation, and lodging.
We can provide you with a list of hotels near the training locations, but you are not required to stay at any particular hotel. Some students even choose to camp if there is a campground nearby.
Line Clearance Qualification comes from education and experience, no matter where you receive training. While our Line Clearance training satisfies OSHA’s safety requirements for working around energized lines, taking the class alone does not make someone Line Clearance Qualified.
Depending on your level of experience, our Basic and Advanced Arborist classes are a good place to start.
Please contact us if you need custom training, and we will be happy to help create a curriculum to suit your specific needs. Our standard classes cannot be adjusted.
Please contact us if you do not see a class scheduled near you. We can provide you with a proposal to send a trainer to your location, or put you on a waiting list, and we can contact you when a class opens up near you.
All our classes are built on industry safety practices. Ready to start learning?
With 30 yrs of experience in the tree care industry I was very pessimistic about how much I would gain from this training. ACRT completely changed my approach to climbing and rigging.I can't wait to apply the new techniques and confidence I've gained.
