Your Workforce Deserves Proper Safety Training
This class has a minimum of 16 hours, and is designed only to be offered by home study or by request. This class is built around the job requirements for proper safety training for substation workers and substation grounds maintenance personnel.
The prerequisites for this class are:
- Pesticide applicator’s license
- Proof of CPR and first-aid training
In this class you’ll learn:
- The nature of electricity and the effects of electrical shock
- How a substation functions
- The electrical hazards in substations
- Safety requirements in ANSI Z133
- To recognize typical electric hardware located in a substation
- Safe work practices in proximity to a substation
- Proper use of pesticides in substations
- Rescue procedures
In order to successfully pass this class, you must:
- Pass the tests at the end of each chapter in the textbook
Upon successful completion of this class, you’ll receive:
- A one-year certification from ACRT Arborist Training
- ACRT Arborist Training’s Electrical Hazard Recognition for Substation Grounds Maintenance and Herbicide Applicators textbook, which includes tests
- ISA Continuing Education Units (CEUs), if requested
